You are able to map out your ideas (strategy) and put a plan (comprehensive launch plan) behind them but executing your plan and managing your launch is a whole different ball game.
Don’t worry though, this is normal. The key is knowing what factors need to be in place for you to be able to execute with confidence and having a process to back that up.
It could also be that you need the accountability in order to follow through with your plans.
Worrying about what could go wrong which is one of the major stressors when it comes to launching could also play a role in not being able to successfully execute and manage your launch.
Or you might just not know how or have the time to execute and manage your launch with everything else happening when you are in launch mode.
This allows you to do the 2 most important things that move the needle during your launch…
When it comes to executing a 6 figure launch, winging it is just not going to cut it. You have developed your launch strategy and created a comprehensive launch plan to execute that strategy. The next step is then to execute the plan and manage your launch!
What does that look like?
Staying on track and in control of your launch so that you can focus on turning up everyday to your launch confident, in control, relaxed, energised and present is the key outcome of execution and management.
One of the main reasons for stress around launches is the fear that something will go wrong.
And the truth is things do go wrong. However, the important thing is tackle this head on and brainstorm all the things that could go wrong and build back up plans for them. Knowing that you have a back up plan will significantly reduce your stress levels.
Managing your team and ensuring that you are all on the same page is another stressor, not only for you but for your team as well!
Your team gets frustrated and stressed if they are not being led or managed effectively. I have had team members tell me that working on a launch with me was their best launch experience ever because everyone was on the same page and knew what was expected of them.
In order to successfully execute and manage your launch, the main output is CONTROL.
Have one team member own and manage the plan (this is usually the Launch Manager)
Have task owners update their tasks with the latest information and mark them as complete once completed
Have the Launch Manager update the plan with any changes that come up and communicate those changes to the team
Have daily check-ins with your team in the weeks leading up to your launch and during the launch. This could be as short as 15 minutes if you get on a call or you could just have a quick check in over Slack or however else you communicate with your team
Strategy is important because it forms the backbone of your launch. It informs how you intend to introduce and present your course or program to your audience. And that is all there is to it…. Getting clear on how you will launch your course or program, generate leads, drive traffic, promote your launch, deliver your launch content and engage your audience.
This step is all about breaking your strategy down into a step by step, play by play actionable and easy to execute plan so that you are not stressed, overwhelmed and exhausted because you’ve massively underestimated the sheer amount of stuff that needs to be done and how long they will take to be completed. This plan becomes a rinse and repeat process so you don’t reinvent the wheel with every launch!
This step is all about executing your plan and staying on track and in control of your launch so that you can focus on turning up everyday to your launch confident, in control, relaxed, energised and present. The final piece to this step is managing your team and ensuring that you are all on the same page.
Once your launch has been successfully executed, there will be lots of exciting opportunities that come your way! How do you improve and scale your launches, plus take advantage of the exciting opportunities that come your way without burning out? This step is all about scaling your launch success and optimising your launch process.
